HOW TO  
Using Gotcha! is simple and fast.
You don't need to know any complicated IRC commands or networking procedures.
After download follow these simply steps:		  
   
Download the latest release
Go to this link and download the latest release.
Note that you need Mac Os X Tiger 10.4 or greater.
iGotcha! is now Universal Binary
Unpack
Double click on iGotcha.zip and copy Gotcha! icon in your Applications folder.
Retrieve channel list and set up your Gotcha!

First of all choose your nickname... Open Preferences under iGotcha! menu type your nick and return, than close preferences window.
Now go under Chat Protocols menu and choose retrieve channel list.

ATTENTION! THE FIRST TIME YOU USE GOTCHA! THIS OPERATION MAY TAKES SOME TIME.... LET GOTCHA! FINISH THE OPERATION !
   
 
   
Start to chat
When the rooms are downloaded you can start choosing a room by double click on the room name.
Remember that iGotcha! is a p2p based chat, so it may be possible that some rooms are offline while you try to open it.
Private chat
You can chat in a public room or choose to chat with the private chat system.
To use the private chat system, you need to double click on the nick of the person you would like to connect to.
Direct chat and file transfer

You can start a direct chat by selecting the nick of the person you want to contact and by clicking the direct chat button on the right.
iGotcha! will try to connect to the person, in this way your chat will be encrypted and you will be connected directly with the selected person.

ATTENTION! IN ORDER TO USE THE DIRECT CHAT SYSTEM YOUR FIREWALL HAS TO ACCEPT TCP TRAFFIC ON PORT 2403
  After the connection you will be able to start a file transfer session by dragging and dropping the selected file inside the direct chat window.
iGotcha! is able to resume any interruped transfer, this is important when you transfer big files (more than 100 Mb).
